The Lutheran Schools Partnership has contracted Liberating Insight to assist the Partnership in its ongoing ambitious efforts to assimilate cutting-edge educational technology within The Lutheran Schools.“We’re delighted that Liberating Insight has agreed to guide the Partnership and The Lutheran Schools in our educational-technology efforts,” says Mark Muehl, director of The Lutheran Schools Partnership. “The incorporation and proliferation of leading-edge educational technology in our classrooms is one of the Partnership’s highest priorities.” The collaboration joining the Partnership and Liberating Insight has already begun and is set to continue through June. Liberating Insight will work with each school to design a plan that meets that school’s needs and fits within the Partnership’s template for educational technology. Those individualized plans will then be used to direct the purchasing of technology for each school.Liberating Insight will also assist the Partnership in creating online professional-development offerings for teachers and administrators. These offerings will range from half-hour to two-hour presentations. “As experts in a wide range of technology, Liberating Insight will be our leading source of information on the latest options in educational technology and online professional-development programs,” Muehl says. “We think this collaboration will be real boon for our schools, teachers, and administrators.”Founded by Brian Sorg in 2003, Fort Wayne-based Liberating Insight specializes in providing small businesses with customized software development and information-technology services and support. “We’re extremely pleased to be working with The Lutheran Schools Partnership in this worthwhile endeavor,” Sorg says. “The most rewarding aspect for us is being part of The Lutheran Schools’ efforts to help students reach their full potential.”In June, The Lutheran Schools Partnership dedicated its Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at Concordia High School. ACE is a prototypical 21st-century classroom featuring an array of cutting-edge technology available to today’s Lutheran educators. One of the goals of ACE is to introduce teachers to new technology and show them how they can incorporate that technology into their classrooms.
