It started out as a crazy idea. A wonderful, crazy idea. Let’s put a sign in every teacher, administrator and pastor’s front yard to let them know we love them and appreciate all they do for their students, churches and communities.

I wanted to let you know how much the sign that was placed in our yard meant to me. Obviously, it has been such a challenging past few months. Much of the joy in teaching has been gone since we are absent from the students. I am still so proud of what I do and the privilege it is to be a teacher in our Lutheran schools. It so often goes unnoticed, and that is not why any of us are Lutheran teachers. Your yard signs, though, proclaim to my community that what we do each day (whether in our building or in our home) matters. Of all the thank yous that I've received over the years, this one is right up there for meaning the most to me.

A simple sign, a loving gesture, and a sincere thank you has deeply touched my heart - and also to my husband, my daughter in Philadelphia, and my son in Honolulu!

Thank you for doing this - and for all that you do!
Pam Brewer (St Peter’s)

Thank you for the Teacher Appreciation yard sign, posted in front of my house this week. It was a sweet and thoughtful idea. Your work on behalf of Lutheran teachers in our area is also appreciated. Please share my thanks with others in your organization who helped with this labor-intensive gesture of kindness and encouragement to all of us. God be with you.

Yours, in Christ,
Ann Fritz (St Paul)
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and encouragement with the sign that I found in my yard. It was a great surprise! Please pass my appreciation on to your Board and all who were part of getting the signs produced and delivered!
