Many schools started the school year recently. Some started this week, others last week, some a few weeks ago, some will start after Labor Day. Floors are waxed, posters and signs are on the walls, and everyone is smiling, looking forward to the year ahead.
The staff at The Lutheran SGO want to celebrate the chosen profession of the 350 teachers, principals, and other educators in Northeast Indiana; educating with truth, making great citizens, and "getting kids into Heaven". God has placed them in their role right now to impact generations to come. They may not know it now, but there will be adults in the year 2060 who will remember "Mrs. Jenkins at the Martin Luther School" and how much they appreciate what was done for them. There will be others, too, who will not remember anything about their education, but will join the Saints as they enter the kingdom of God thanks to the work of our Partner schools.
Just like these educators, the staff of The Lutheran SGO love what we do, too; we may not be teachers or principals, but in our role administering donations and scholarships, we get to impact 53 schools, 700 educators, and 9,500 students across Indiana.
We look forward to serving these schools and their donors during the 2021-2022 school year.
