Events, Events, and More Events

We love our schools. We enjoy their events. Why not share some results and upcoming dates with everyone?

First, some recent event highlights:

St. Peter's Lutheran School:

On September 18 their “Havana Nights” event exceeded expectations and raised after costs over $60,000 to help fund their Lutheran Foundation matching challenge and other classroom needs. They plan a second event in the Spring to get back to their Spring schedule after some COVID delays and cancellations in the recent past.

-----

Woodburn Lutheran School:

their Annual Blue & White Night held on Saturday, September 11 at the Roemke Farms in Harlan, IN hosted a record 300 people for their event and grossed over $140,000… another record! Their “Americana” theme recognized first responders and military veterans with the proceeds completely meeting their endowment match challenge from The Lutheran Foundation, some specific project needs (generator, classroom AC, etc.) and other operational expenses.

Maybe you missed the above events this time around, below are some upcoming events that you can still consider supporting:

Emmaus Lutheran School:

The event volunteers are excited to bring back their most popular fundraising event, a Casino Night, on Friday, October 1 at Orchard Ridge Country Club from 6-10pm. All proceeds will help fund a new playground for their students. There will be silent and live auctions, an Italian Buffet, Salad Bar, and open bar! Tickets are $40/person. Visit the event site to purchase tickets or make a donation.

-----

Concordia Lutheran High School:

They have two events they would like to highlight. One is a Costume Fun Gift Gathering at the Arena Bar & Grill on Saturday, Oct 30th from 5pm-11pm. You can show your support of CLHS by bringing an auction gift to donate and 10% of that day’s food earnings will support the school. Make sure to dress up for a contest, and there will be lots of great games on the big screens as well.

The second event is their Annual Cadets in Cadence Blue Christmas Dinner Auction (with some hints of Elvis, we hear! Thank you very much!) Plan to see how the CLHS staff and event volunteers transform the gymnasium into a fantastic event space on Saturday, December 4th. Get your tickets and additional information at their event link.

St. John-Emmanuel Lutheran School:

Their annual Tiger Night fundraiser will be held on January 29 at The Orchid, 11508 Lincoln Highway E, New Haven. You can contact their office manager, Amy, at 260-639-0123 to purchase tickets.

Whether or not your grandchildren attend these schools, you are an alum, you have attended their associated churches, or have heard about how fun their events could be, consider supporting Lutheran education while having a good time and meeting folks from other school families. As Ashley Graf, an alumni of Fort Wayne-area Lutheran education and beyond, noted during this video of our VIP Event on August 28 (fast-forward to 52:53): “Be proud of this community, be thankful, and be supportive... The schools here are worthy of prayers, volunteerism, and support.”
