We expect these things

We find security in these things.

Present circumstances are rattling our security. COVID19 fears abound. Fear has threatened happiness. We miss our friends and family. We fear the loss of our health and others health.

Choose to look away from these threats, these worries, this momentary sadness and run to opportunities to see Jesus. As the writer of Hebrews says, “…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God”

Our faith filled reality? It’s about Jesus- His suffering on our behalf, His death on our behalf and His Resurrection that ensures our resurrection. His Reality is our reality and spans beyond here and now. Our reality through Christ is one that finds certainty in His lost life for us; the desertion of his friends for us; His own Father’s turning His head as Jesus carried our sins.

The Resurrection is the bold answer to fear and the answer is found in faith in Jesus.

So be sure to run to Jesus. Our churches have made tremendous efforts to assure the Holy Week message is shared.
