Standing for our Schools Through Partnerships on August 28
As Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs us, we are to put on the full armor of God so that we can take a stand against the devil’s schemes. You have read the headlines, watched the pundits, and swiped the social media posts. The world is against Christianity these days, and our Lutheran schools stand at the gateway of the minds and hearts of our youth. As Martin Luther alluded to nearly 500 years ago, and Ken Ham (Answers in Genesis, The Lie: Evolution/Millions of Years) is quoted, “It is in the minds and hearts of our children that the battle will be fought.”
We hope that you can attend the 2nd Annual VIP: Very Important Partnerships on August 28 at the Mirro Center in Fort Wayne to support The Lutheran Schools Partnership and our efforts to be a Leader, Champion, and Collaborator for the 19 Lutheran schools in Northeast Indiana, supporting over 350 educators and staff, to train and lead nearly 4,000 students. This year’s speaker will be Rev. Bart Day, CEO of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund. We will also unveil the winner of our 2nd annual Teacher of the Year award. You can view last year’s speaker, Rev. Dr. Gregory Seltz from the Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty and the video of last year’s Teacher of the Year, Chris Murphy.
As verse 18 ends, let us “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
