Rachael Johnson earns NBC33 award

News anchor Megan Trent presents the "NBC33 Excellence in Education" award to Rachael Johnson.

Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School sixth-grade teacher Rachael Johnson has received the "NBC33 Excellence in Education" award for July. Every month, NBC33 shines the spotlight on an exceptional teacher in our area.
On July 3, news anchor Megan Trent and an NBC33 camera crew came to Suburban Bethlehem to present Rachael with a plaque for her hard work and dedication to the teaching ministry. Rachael also received some nice gifts from local businesses, including a watch from Bradley Gough Diamonds and a $500 gift certificate from The Bookmark."This award recognizes Rachael for going above and beyond on behalf of her students," says Mark Muehl, director of The Lutheran Schools Partnership. "She's a stellar example of how Lutheran schools educators in general are fully engaged in providing an excellent Christ-centered education. Congratulations to Rachael and to her husband, Ryan, and their son Carter."The mission of The Lutheran Schools Partnership is to serve The Lutheran Schools by providing vital services that promote enrollment growth, secure third-source funding, achieve academic excellence, and develop teachers and administrators. The Lutheran Schools comprise preschools, 17 elementary schools, and Concordia Lutheran High School in northeast Indiana.
