Holy Cross Lutheran School head football coach Steve Bennett received the Youth Football Coach of the Year award during the 2013 Jason Baker Pro Football Mini Camp in Fort Wayne.
During Bennett's 15 years at Holy Cross, the Crusaders have won several Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) football championships. In addition to the honor received by Bennett, Holy Cross will benefit from two gifts. Athletes With Purpose (AWP) is offering its sports training services to the school as a gift, while the Positive Coaching Alliance is offering the Crusaders a 100-percent customizable session.
