Pat Miller from WOWO recently interviewed Mollie Ziegler Hemingway, the keynote for our upcoming VIP Event on September 17. You can listen to the four minute edited interview here: https://youtu.be/vel37xTiJmo.
During the first 2 minutes of the interview, Mollie explains that “A Lutheran education was important for me growing up, and incredibly important now that I am a mother for my family to attend Lutheran schools… my husband serves on the board of a Lutheran school.” She adds that “We live in the D.C. area and there are so many things so bad about the direction of the country… one of the few things that give us hope about the future of our country is our children…. Curriculum and school environment; these are very important things and the future of America.”
We hope that you can see why Mollie will keynote our 3rd annual VIP event where we highlight Very Important Partnerships to encourage the community to “STAND for Lutheran Education”. Being raised by a Lutheran pastor and a Lutheran teacher, Mollie explains in the 2nd half of the 4 minute interview that for her and her husband, “before we could buy a house, we made sure our children were in Lutheran schools.” She notes that other folks in the church helped make things possible for them, and she is coming to our area to help raise funds for TLSP.
Plan to attend the event on the September 17 at Kruse Plaza to hear more of Mollie’s perspective on Lutheran education and its importance for our future. There are still tickets available; contact Jenny at 260-203-4420 or visit www.VeryImportantPartnerships.org. Those who purchase tickets with the special Sponsor Reception will have the opportunity to meet Mollie and to receive a signed copy of her book.
