The Lutheran Schools have been providing high-quality education with a focus on faith in northeast Indiana for the better part of two centuries. We owe our long tradition of excellence to the strong support we receive from area Lutheran congregations.
Indiana’s Choice Scholarships—also called school vouchers—are providing families with an unprecedented opportunity to choose the best education for their kids. With its recent legislative action to establish these vouchers, the state of Indiana has become a leader in school choice.
Choice Scholarships—and gifts from scholarship-granting organizations (SGOs)—are allowing families of all income levels the choice to pursue non-public education.
Eleven of The Lutheran Schools in northeast Indiana are voucher schools: St. Peter’s, St. Peter–Immanuel in Decatur, Concordia, Woodburn Lutheran, Suburban Bethlehem, Lutheran South Unity, St. John in Kendallville, Emmaus, Ascension, St. Paul’s, and Concordia Lutheran High School.
We applaud the state for its bold moves in school reform, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunities and benefits that Choice Scholarships and SGOs provide to families and to our Partnership schools.
